Have you or your child always thought about performing on stage or being a part of a touring musical? Perhaps you want guidance and tips to nail an audition for an upcoming play? As an Acting and Singing Coach, I’m here to help you realise your dreams.
I am currently in the UK and International touring production of Les Miserables and have been performing professionally since graduating from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in 2014. For over 8 years, I have been coaching students through LAMDA and ABRSM exams (singing and music theory) for all levels. I invest a significant amount of time and energy and take pride in a 100% merit-distinction pass rate. Additionally, I have successfully coached young performers through professional auditions to drama schools and West End productions. Having worked with students of all ages and at different stages, I draw upon my own experiences to elevate your own talent as well as help you refine your skills. From teaching you musicianship to boosting your confidence and performance skills for an audition, I can help elevate your skillset and suggest areas of improvement that we can work through together. My lessons cater for everyone; from Musical Mayhem and Storytelling Drama sessions for primary school children to adults wanting to learn to sing for the first time, all are welcome! I have a fun, relatable teaching style and thrive on creating bespoke classes for my pupils so that they get the most out of their lessons. I’m great at motivating students to get out of their comfort zone and be a little bolder while ensuring they have enjoyable sessions and look forward to the next one. With the current pandemic, I’m happy to collaborate and find ways you can stay creative whilst at home! I offer individual Acting, Singing and Music Theory sessions on Skype or Zoom as well as Group Performing Arts classes on Zoom. The latter depends on the age and ability of those that sign up. DON'T FORGET TO CHECK OUT THE ONLINE 2020 SUMMER SCHOOL HERE! To discover more about all the classes offered, please get in touch about what you would like to achieve and I’ll be happy to answer any questions. Thanks and I look forward to helping you move towards your goals. For a full CV please click here! |
What my pupils say:
"Emily has been teaching my daughter for over a year and helped her successfully audition for a leading West End role. Emily is professional, knowledgeable and hard working. She was truly invested in my daughter's progress and knows how to bring out the best in her. Highly recommend." Terran, parent of 10 year old pupil "Her high teaching standards and ability to motivate meant her students made excellent progress in developing their vocal and physical skills under her tutelage." Line Manager "Had an amazing lesson with Emily yesterday. She was excellent and I look forward to working with her again. She made things very clear and was very professional. " Lindsey, Adult Pupil "I loved my lessons with Emily. She helped me gain the confidence and technique I needed to complete my drama school auditions. " Olivia, pupil aged 18 years old "Emily ran a fabulous Musical Theatre workshop style acting audition for me at the beginning of September for a large group of children ranging from 5-19. I cannot recommend her enough! She teaches with bundles of energy and passion which brought out the best in the huge age range and very mixed, diverse range of talent. She also gave me very constructive and helpful feedback at the end of the session. She kept the kids under control the whole time and I was thrilled with the response from all involved."
